Gofreight Australia is a company which has its beginnings because of the need for a type of service which until now didn’t exist. Working for an engineering firm we often had the need to send freight and to pick freight up from out of the way places.

Sometimes we would ring up to 20 freight companies over a period of months to try to move some articles

It came to me one day while travelling south and wondering how to get some freight north, I noticed how many empty and part empty trucks I was passing and began wondering how I could communicate my needs to these drivers. With the increasing costs of fuel etc, we obviously need a more efficient transport system.

Over the last 12 months we have studied this situation and looked at many systems. Gofreight is the culmination of much research and we believe it will provide a much needed link between freight owner and carrier.

The system we have devised will be a free service to the carrier.

After logging on to the site, the freight owner will be issued with a security reference number, after adding their own password which will secure the site they will follow a series of information boxes.

Location, freight description, size, weight etc, loading method.

There will be a charge of $12 to register your freight. Unless the user removes the listing it will remain online for 30 calendar days, cost 40c per day.

The freight owner will also include his email address for contact purposes. The freight owner and carrier will negotiate a rate between themselves.

Gofreight Australia believes this service will be beneficial to both freight owner and carrier.
